Members of BNI Hogarth create a YouTube hit

1 Mins

Members of BNI Hogarth belted out their “business version” of the Supertramp hit Breakfast in America in Carluccio’s in Chiswick High Road, where the group meet for weekly business breakfasts.

“We created a music video as part of a national challenge to promote our group and the advent of business networking,” says David Stoch, director of BNI Hogarth. “It went viral with more than 2,000 hits on YouTube.”

Their efforts scooped them the overall prize (and a cheque for £1,000) for the YouTweet competition – a national challenge set to hundreds BNI groups across the UK.

BNI UK now has more than 15,000 members across the country. The idea is for them to boost each other’s companies through referrals and personal recommendations. Stoch says BNI members enjoyed £230m worth of extra business from referrals in 2009 – up 21 per cent on 2008.

Hats off to Alan MacDonald, former advertising magnate and founder of UK Mortgage Specialists, for his great baritone voice.
