Mental blank for sales staff

As the snow recedes and everyone slowly returns after Christmas, sales are on the rise.

In the strange world of interiors, many of our customers are given to disappearing for the best part of school holidays – so our battered economy was inevitably going to get off to a slow start this year.   Training progresses in sales office, perhaps more by luck than judgement. Having unearthed the Grand Canyon-sized gaps in their product knowledge last week, now discover that they all appear to have forgotten what they were ever taught (or not) in the way of building customer relations.   Having been somewhat apprehensive in my abilities to train on telephone sales (despite being my own forte, it’s not something I have ever attempted to teach) now feel absolutely convinced that I have plenty to offer!
