Michael Jackson: marketing genius

1 Mins

Historically, Michael Jackson is not known for his media savvy. Remember the "baby-dangling’ incident back in 2002? But this time, he’s actually pulled it off.

The multi-millionaire artist has announced ten performance dates at London’s O2 Arena later this year, stating that the tour title, This Is It, was more than just a moniker: "I just wanted to say that these will be my final show performances in London. When I say this is it, it really means this is it."

Business site Smarta has done a business analysis of the press event at the O2 Arena yesterday and crunched the maths. Check out the amount of publicity that Wacko Jacko generated with his "blink and you’ll miss it" appearance.
