Hard to believe that I’ve been only been back from my long weekend for a week. We seem to have accomplished so much. Far too soon to count proverbial chickens but there is a real feeling of progress for the first time in ages.
Even customer appreciation letters seem to be flooding in, which is a rarity at the best of times. Human nature being what it is, we are so much more given to complaining than appreciating. Told business coach in our monthly session what we had been up to and realised we were moving at such a pace the conversation was almost going along the lines of him saying “What you should do next is..” and me saying “We have just done..” whatever it was.
He undoubtedly had last laugh, however, as I had been explaining all our plans for using pal, Shrunk on Top, for more sessions to help train and re-vamp systems, and coach was extremely quick to point out that this was exactly what he had said we needed back at the start of the year under the guise of a non-executive director. Well, Shrunk on Top, bless her, gets stuck in and a lot more involved than a non-exec would I suspect, so still think we have a far better deal.
