Not the pleasantest of starts. Had traded going in early on a sunny Friday for coming in early this morning with a couple of departments, but the work they had done prior was substandard and then, of course, one of the key people failed to turn up early today at all. Result: immediate chaos with vans running late and furniture held back.
Left hand back from his holiday today so feel completely inadequate as I watch him whisk round assessing damage, clocking the fake figures and noting the people who have yet again let us down.
Not helped by fact that physically pushed myself beyond belief to try to achieve a perfect playing field of production for him to come back to. His initial smug satisfaction over the events starts to fade in fury as day progresses.
Only good point is that I have my pal back training customer services and casting a beady eye towards systems which I have wanted to overhaul for ages. Set myself this week to put all problems to rest and will try to pull myself together to stick with that. If I don’t succeed there, drastic reviews might be in order.
