Total Mondayism and all of us feeling the strain.

New line manager starting in despatch which means inductions and then someone accompanying and explaining things all day.  Myself interviewing at 10am – what moment of insanity did I have to think up that one on a Monday morning? New potential timber supplier turns up unexpectedly for urgent meeting. Most of us stressed and shakey before midday. All would have been well had recruitment turned out as expected last week. However, applicant we offered sales role to and who was negotiating and behaving strangely, then said they would take the job and proceeded to not only fail to get in contact that evening, but never be heard of since. Most odd – seemlngly hugely capable and keen applicant.  People never cease to amaze and all of that. So, after two weeks of recruiting, am now faced with starting all over again which will take huge amounts of time that my other staff need. Spend Monday wishing there were four of me.
