Climatecars founder Nicko Williamson gives his top predictions for the year ahead:
I’ll remember 2011 for… taking Climatecars to the next stage. This year has been all about investment in our business, with the hiring of a new experienced operations director to run the business more efficiently, to launching our new website. We have invested heavily for the future. 2012 will be great because… we are in a position now where we’re on the cusp of some serious growth with some exciting new clients signed up. Next year, we hope the investments made in 2011 will ensure that we’re more competitive in our market and we are excited about our sales pipeline and the introduction of zero emission electric vehicles to Climatecars’ fleet. One sector we’ll hear a lot from next year will be… the tech sector, of course! There are lots of new exciting dotcom’s and businesses with technology at their core. Britain has a lot of talent in this area and I think we’ll see some interesting businesses launch in 2012. The one thing that would help me grow my business in 2012 would be… the stabilisation of the eurozone crisis and the economy. We’ve been on tenterhooks for such a long time now, that a return to some form of normality would help encourage businesses to invest and to step up activity. My New Year’s resolution for 2012 is… to do more exercise. Dull I know, but I ran the Paris marathon this year and have let my exercise regime slip a bit in the cold winter months! Real Business will be running the “My 2012” series for the next month, bringing you top entrepreneurs’ views and predictions of the year ahead.
