Branton worked for the Brentwood business franchise for five years and took the opportunity to make it her own when the previous franchisee left the business.
She says: “I knew the domestic cleaning business inside out and loved every minute of it. So I was delighted to have the chance to actually own the business franchise myself.
“There may be a recession on right now but domestic cleaning is still very much a growth industry. In my first eight weeks owning the franchise, I have signed up 44 new customers.”
Time For You was set up in 1997 by Freddie Rayner and now has 147 franchisees servicing 12,000 clients across the UK each week. Rayner says: “We’re delighted to welcome Kathrine on board as a fully fledged franchisee.”
The domestic cleaning division of Time For You has seen 7 per cent growth during the last six months despite the economic downturn. However, some individual franchise areas have managed to increase business by 12 per cent.
Eighty-seven per cent of franchisees earn their franchise fee back within the first six months of trading.
