Oh, this old story: networking. Some love it, some hate it – we all know it’s important. Being an extrovert networking genius is one of the popular fast tracks to entrepreneurial success.
If you fear you’ve lost your networking skills, we are here to refresh your memory with a little series of five videos that are as entertaining as they’re useful. The Networker is a new series on Pioneers TV presented by comedian Reuben Christian. In each of five episodes Reuben dissects the practice of networking, as only he can, focusing on the areas that will ensure viewers are fully equipped when it comes to building their business network. In this first episode we look at probably the single most important skill of the up-and-coming entrepreneur: the ability to quickly define what you do and what services or products you offer. This is often referred to as an “elevator pitch”. The better you can communicate this information to someone, the more likely you are to gain a useful contact or new business in the future. After watching this episode, don’t forget to let us know how you approach your own elevator pitch!
