With the Amazon Growing Business Awards 2017 taking place on Wednesday 29 November, we feel it’s time to reveal some of what goes on behind the scenes. So, during our judging day, we took some business leaders to one side and got their thoughts on the best way to pitch your business at speed.

According tofinalist Amy McManus of AM Marketing, it’s all about making sure you get across what you do and why you’re when you pitch your business.

Stacey Gibson of Verdantleisure, meanwhile, said: “I think the most important thing is to know your product, be confident, be yourself and be passionate.

And offering a judge’s perspective, we heard from Stephen Fear, who declared: ?Entrepreneurial talent is the most important aspect of any economy in my opinion. Any entrepreneur is as important as a brain surgeon or a heart surgeon, because without the wealth created by entrepreneurs, there is no money to spend on all these essential services that everyone needs.
