We know that pitching your business is never an easy task, so we asked the finalists of our Amazon Growing Business Awards 2017 to let us in on their secrets. Here are the top five pitching tips from business leaders.
All business owners and entrepreneurs will be well aware of how challenging it can be to pitch your business, particularly as the deal you clinch along the way tend to get bigger and bigger.
And, of course, we’ve all seen on how attempts to pitch your business can go on the likes of Dragons’ Den and The Apprentice, which is enough to unnerve anyone.
With our Amazon Growing Business Awards 2017 taking place on Wednesday 29 November, the skills to pitch your business were essential during our judging day to determine who would be taking home awards on the night.
With the Amazon Growing Business Awards 2017 taking place on Wednesday 29 November, we feel it’s time to reveal some of what goes on behind the scenes. So, during our judging day, we took some business leaders to one side and got their thoughts on the best way to pitch your business at speed.
According to finalist Amy McManus of AM Marketing, it’s all about making sure you get across what you do and why you’re when you pitch your business.
Stacey Gibson of Verdantleisure, meanwhile, said: “I think the most important thing is to know your product, be confident, be yourself and be passionate.”
And offering a judge’s perspective, we heard from Stephen Fear, who declared: “Entrepreneurial talent is the most important aspect of any economy in my opinion. Any entrepreneur is as important as a brain surgeon or a heart surgeon, because without the wealth created by entrepreneurs, there is no money to spend on all these essential services that everyone needs.”
