In addition to providing customers to its member pros, Plentific also helps business owners enhance their online presence on both Plentific.com and partner websites. Founded by former investment bankers Cem Savas and Emre Kazan in 2013, the startup is one of the most innovative.

Plentific was founded in 2013 by Cem Savas and Emre Kazan, former investment bankers at Nomura, after experiencing a plethora of problems during multiple property transactions they were involved in. They concluded that many of these problems could have been avoided with superior product and software craftsmanship and founded the company with the objective of providing a comprehensive and transparent marketplace for homebuyers and homeowners to hire qualified service providers.
The “Find a Pro” feature now covers 55 categories of services offered by over 73,000 providers. Home buyers are mainly interested in finding qualified mortgage brokers, conveyancers, surveyors and structural engineers, who are the typical set of advisors one needs when buying a home, although some are interested in doing a remodelling right away and would like to get the opinion of an architect or a builder even before completing their purchase. Home owners, on the other hand, have a vast array of service providers for maintenance tasks, repairs, new installations and more complex projects such as extensions and loft conversions.
Plentific has a user-friendly communication tool where users and pros can message and call each other, making it easier for customers to manage their projects in a nicely organised fashion. The tool has an additional security benefit as Plentific does not share customer’s email or phone number to pros, while still offering the ability for both customer and pro to communicate with each other via messages or phone calls – a highly desired feature for those customers who are sensitive about sharing their contact information with providers.
Pros pay a small commission only after successfully completing a job and this removes the uncertainty that is caused by lead-generation based models of other platforms where job leads are purchased upfront. Pros can now send quotes via the platform and soon customers will be able to accept quotes and pay invoices online as part of the next phase of development, making the platform a true transactional marketplace.
There are also additional features for those pros who want more from the platform. By upgrading to Plentific Premium they can unlock additional useful features, have an exclusive profile on the site and get priority support. There is also Plentific Featured which allows pros to gain additional visibility in the category and postcode areas they specialise in.
Future growth seems likely to come through more collaborations, as Plentific’s founders have embraced working with other organisations throughout the property industry, such as their current partnership with Zoopla and Primelocation. With an exciting set of new features in the pipeline, Plentific seems likely to continue disrupting the home services market in 2016.
