Raphael was established in Runcorn, Cheshire, by chief executive Arthur Robinson and healthcare entrepreneur and chairman John Lamb. Both founders will retain equity in the business. They will be joined on the board by RJD’s John Dillon. Alex Hay joins the company as non-executive director. Raphael was founded in October 2004 and has a 41-bed facility in Newark Nottinghamshire that was opened nearly two years later. The company employs 101 people and is a preferred supplier to Primary Care Trusts in the East Midlands, West Midlands and South West.
