“Once upon a time…” It’s one of the most familiar phrases in the English language. From our earliest years we’re told stories and anthropologists have never found a culture or a civilisation that didn’t tell stories. There’s even evidence now to suggest that our brains are hardwired to understand the world by story.
Why are there more highly successful men than women? A key reason, I believe, is that women are not as aware as men are of the power of personal branding, whether it’s self promotion, projecting confidence or strategic networking.
