Ranjan Singh, the founder of isango! (which is like Expedia for holiday experiences), told me today that he’s a big fan of the way business is done here. Compared to India, he said, we’re on easy street. “isango! has an office in India,” Singh explained. “In the UK, we registered our company, in half an hour through a website. In India the registration took the best part of one year. “Because we were especially unlucky, we applied and then they decided to move the process online. It took some time to determine what online was for them. Basically, it was to put the application pack onto a CD then courier it to them! Comparatively speaking, the UK has been a great place to do business.” A little bit of perspective is good, non? Picture source
