Founded in 2014 by business software consultant and developer Nick Schils with the purpose of modernising the traditional timesheet, TIQ technology connects the tools employees already use at work to capture and prioritise activities, better organising a worker’s day and making it more productive.
By linking email, a calendar, Microsoft Office and Google applications, and by integrating with administrative systems like your ERP or CRM, TIQ’s algorithms can organise workers’ activities and match them to specific clients, projects or tasks. An overview of how a worker spends time is automatically generated, and can be validated by TIQ software in under a minute. The result is a more accurate reflection of how time is spent on certain activities.
Noticing that time tracking was the biggest administrative challenge in many companies, Schils created TIQ after experimenting with new technologies that would help tackle this challenge, with the aim of exploring new grounds to make people live and work in a smarter way.
Finding that existing time tracking software relied on manual input and had many flaws, Schils wanted to create a new industry standard for time management by providing accurate insights into how people actually spend their time. TIQ aims to become the smartest and most progressive time-tracking tool around, making time-tracking a non-issue.
TIQ has developed a web-based application and an iOS app so that customers can receive automated time tracking on their mobile. At the end of each day, the TIQ applications gives customers an overview of the captured and allocated activities.
TIQ is currently based in London and is part of the Microsoft Ventures accelerator programme until February 2016.
