The first episode of McClumpha’s TV show, The Hirer, is due to be aired over the internet on 5th September. The show will feature the businesswoman whittling down eight finalists from over 4,000 applicants. These top dogs will vie for a top position in Fake Bake. But unlike Alan Sugar’s cutthroat-style firings, McLumpha eventually plans to find positions for all eight finalists.
However, lingerie entrepreneur Michelle Mone has already dismissed the idea as an outright imitation of The Apprentice.
All publicity is good publicity, however. The Hirer website has already had over 175,000 hits. McClumpha recently told The Scotsman: "We are both Scottish, blonde and female. I suppose if it had been two guys it may not have been given such a lot of coverage."
