In 1994, Interbev founder Steve Brogan started his career working as a buyer for Europe’s second-largest brewery Molson Coors, which produces products including Carling, Cobra, Coors Light and Grolsch in the UK’s Burton-on-Trent.
Following that post, he held a number of other senior roles in the drinks industry before going on to create his on venture in 2008.
Brands Interbev works with including Guinness, Bacardi, Smirnoff, Budweiser, Red Bull, Evian and Coca-Cola, supporting the company to a CAGR of 49.45 per cent and a turnover of £56.8m.
Brogan also extended the business into other divisions with online consumer-facing beverage business Drinks21 in 2011. The threefold strategy sells to individuals, supports business gifting and works with unique brands to develop them in the UK.
Elsewhere, acquiring online distributor Ooberstock in 2013 supported further growth and enabled access to hotels, bars and restaurants as clients.
