For Bettles, the focus on building relationships comes hand-in-hand with recruiting high-calibre staff, who are in it for the long haul and understand the importance of relationships and providing continuity of service to clients and doctors. Bettles is proud of the companys annual staff turnover, which runs at between five per cent and eight per cent a year, and 25 per cent of staff having worked for the company for over four years. Bettles admitted, however, that some of the companys growth was due to the increasing reliance on agency staff from the NHS.
