Topman first started trading in 1978 and there are now 185 Topman stores in the UK. The brand has a presence in more than 60 cities around the world. The new store features an extra floor for its wares and is modelled on the the New York flagship location, carrying many of the same shop fits and design treatments. Topman MD David Shepherd says: “A time has come when we can confidently say that we have outgrown the current trading space. It’s an extremely exciting time for Topman and the new floor will really reflect that. “The new floor will really be a whole new experience – a true menswear destination – I’m confident there will be nothing like it anywhere else on the highstreet.” The new upper floor for Topman will be unveiled on 17 September, two days before the start of London Fashion Week and will include, for the discerning gentleman, the so-called Area Two One Four – home to the Topman Stylist Concierge and Style Lounge.
