It is true to say that when set down in black and white, the project work a small company like ours has on, from sorting and training staff, to health and safety, from marketing to longer term export planning, does seem both onerous and overwhelming.
This is particularly true when we have been expanding so fast during the last few years, and all these areas have been neglected. I must stick to my guns and ignore their protests. We can do it if we work through it methodically. I think it must be a bit like a good dieting session: hard at first, but the moment you see the first pounds/projects roll off, it suddenly becomes a whole lot easier… (she says, reaching alternatively for chocolate and cigarettes and feeling, clearly, in full control.)
