Totally Dynamic, like most firms, gets a fair share of begging letters. But rather than assuage his conscience by handing over a wedge of cash, MD Adrian Rope prefers to support charitable ventures with a more interesting bent.
When he was approached by Mattthew Ramsden, Mike Gibson and Mike Hemmingway (a.k.a. Team Midlife Crisis) to sponsor their tuk tuk for the ultra-adventurous rickshaw challenge, he jumped at the chance.
The Rickshaw challenge is a 3,600km race across the Indian subcontinent. It’s dangerous, arduous and downright ludicrous: every year around a fifth of tuk tuks break down or get lost along the way.
Totally Dynamic provided the graphics, worth £200, for the team’s rickshaw, and put the lads through a intensive vehicle wrapping class so they could get the graphics onto their tuk tuk.
Team Midlife Crisis were raising money for clean drinking water charity, FRANK Water. Together, Totally Dynamic and the fearless adventurers have raised £5,500.
“We were the best turned out vehicle in the race,” says Ramsden.
Of the 68 teams that took part in the race, Midlife Crisis were one of only 47 accounted for at the end of the gruelling 15 days on the road.
