Despite its iconic reputation, Norton Motorcycles was always a struggling brand and went into liquidation in 1992. When Stuart Garner bought the Norton Motorcycles in 2008, many thought the brand was destined to fail. Garner, however, led the brand back to growth.
Four years on Norton has showrooms in Japan, Italy, Holland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and is about to open in North America. “Norton has reflated back into a global brand and we found that the problems that come with that aren’t about getting sales, they are actually about managing the expectations from the supply chain and our customers.” After all, Norton has the likes of Bruce Springsteen in the queue for a bike.
