Vince Cable’s knights of the roundtable, sorry, Entrepreneurs’ Forum, met this morning for the second time.
The Entrepreneurs’ Forum was set up by the business secretary to provide him with informal and personal advice on new business and enterprise policies, gathering up to 17 entrepreneurs in each meeting.
Ahead of this morning’s meeting, Vince Cable said he was “particularly interested” to hear feedback from the action groups.
Following the first meeting of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum in January, action groups were set up to look at three key areas: the ease of starting up, access to finance and employment regulation.
In today’s meeting, the outcomes from the action groups were discussed, and “practical steps and activities” agreed ahead of the third meeting of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum in September.
Oh, to be a fly on the wall at BIS this morning…
