Pep-talked staff re. swine flu. Established government appears to have given up all measures of prevention and therefore permitted member of staff with swine-flued family to continue to work as need be.

Distributed leaflets and detailed personal hygiene necessities while pointing out that even those who succumb will still need a job when they recover so important to a) not panic, and b) keep focused on work as normal. Then back to business as normal for myself, overhauling and checking all the accounts to see how our new accounts person is progressing. Was off sick yesterday so all holding our breath, but thankfully not our first swine flu case.    Overall answer appears to be coping pretty well (even though a lot to learn ). This is great news as he is the most ideal of staff – always willing to help, doesn’t care what he does, totally loyal and devoted to company and generally just a  pleasure to be around. Would be nice to clone him!   Under new structure with right hand departing, I am taking both him and sales and customer service under my personal wing while recruiting and re-training goes on, and it will be a constant pleasure to work with him.
