Telling the truth about SME life today

Wednesday, 8 July 2009

Horribly conscious that poor old left hand has really gone under – few weeks of intense strain coping with me being in hospital and then not fully functioning for a bit and all the unpleasantness with the staff, coupled with feeling very isolated by the impending departure of right hand, have all contributed to him coming to a grinding halt.

Voice virtually gone and bags normally under eyes hitting somewhere around knee level. He needs looking after.  Line managers appear to be suffering from shock. Have been asking who is running shop floor and seem amazed by novel concept when told it is them. Predictably reacting in different ways and to their different strength levels. Not my priority right now. Am still up to ears with new business plans and re-structuring. Looking at what is working and what isn’t and surprisingly enjoying it still. Going to start recruiting for officers shortly when restructure plans finished and so excited by concept of getting staff I chose, trained in way I want, to represent my name and my company.
