Globalisation affects all of our everyday lives. And, sure, it needs explanation and deeper exploration. But shame on you, Time magazine, for "Nylonkong", its description of three of the world’s great cities – New York, London and Hong Kong – as a metaphor for our globalised age.
"Connected by long-haul jets and fiber-optic cable, and spaced neatly around the globe… Understand this network of cities — Nylonkong, we call it — and you understand our time."
