When managers will be managers

1 Mins

I was convinced it was Wednesday all day yesterday. Am amazed to find I haven’t progressed in the week at all!     Mixed day so far. Fighting huge overload as I try to juggle accounts job with my own. Will clearly be a while until we know how my wonderful accounts guy is post his stroke. Has been referred to neurologist but we don’t know when appointment will be, let alone prognosis. Today, tomorrow, next week… it’s all in the hands of the NHS.

Nor am I making any progress on my grotty, flood-ridden home front as still in hands of builders failing to even deliver quotes for part of work.  Meanwhile, second-in-charge and Shrunk on Top are, between them, powering through transforming a rabble into a mean, lean fighting machine. With possible exception of one of our new recruits, the staff are already transformed by their training programmes to date. Line managers really starting to operate as – wait for it – managers, which is just incredible progress.
