It came to light in March that a third of employees believe ?companies have a moral responsibility to help them lead a fit and healthy lifestyle? ? easy for the likes of Google with its free food and Yahoo with gym support.
Elsewhere, JustPark founder Anthony Eskinazi, who Real Business spoke to following the company’s record ?3.7m crowdfunding investment, talked of the firm’s chef, quarterly retreats and parties.
And while some workers would like a pay rise, others are interested in career progression ? suffice to say, employers have their work cut out when trying to retain staff.
That could all change, however, as online gaming site MobileSlots.com has revealed the top 50 things workers would love to have in order to make their company considered ?cool?.
Some of the desires include a personal butler, rooftop terrace and nap rooms, while working parents would be happy with an in-office nursery ? it worked for Yahoo boss Marissa Meyer after all.
?For most of us, offices are a bit dull and boring so fantasising about an amazing workspace is great escape,? said a MobileSlots.com spokesperson.
?We found that lots of the items on the list, whilst they seemed wacky, actually had sound reasoning behind them. At work, we are always looking for ways wanting to de-stress, be more energised and encourage creativity. Perhaps having puppy rooms, a library and massaging chairs would help along with this.?
