"Voters now face the depressing reality that, no matter which major party secures power, they are going to face tax hikes. What everyday people need most is a range of well-targeted tax cuts. The economy needs more people with money in their pockets," says the party’s national spokesperson Richard Vass. "Such an increase in spending power could be helping to boost the economy rather than paying off high interest rates on the soaring national debt the government has lumbered us with. We propose a personal tax allowance equal to a full-time wage at the national minimum and a flat 22 per cent for all above this rate." Do you agree? Is a flat tax the answer?
