The Young FD of the Year will be named at the FDs’ Excellence Awards, which will be held in London on Wednesday, 13 May 2009 in conjunction with the CBI. It’s easy to nominate. [asset2] and email it to me by Friday, 13 March 2009. We will then whittle down the nominees to a shortlist of five, which will then be presented to our panel of pre-eminent judges, who will determine the winner. [asset1]
Young FD of the Year is just one of the individual finance director awards that will be handed out on the night. The other individual awards will be given to the best FD from the FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and Outside the FTSE 350. To determine the winners of these awards, Real Business, in partnership with Jordans, analyses companies on key metrics such as working capital, return on capital employed and cash conversion efficiency. Our judges then choose the winners from a shortlist of candidates in each category. Meanwhile, voting is now open for the service provider section of this year’s Excellence Awards. We want to hear how the banks, audit firms, law firms and technology providers are servicing the nation’s finance professionals. If you’re an FD, CFO, company secretary, financial controller or finance manager, cast your vote here. As well as the satisfaction of having your say, you could also win some bubbles for your trouble. If you’re an entrepreneur, send this link to your FD and get them to fill in the survey. The survey, the largest of its kind in the UK, is particularly important given the current climate so get involved. Picture source
