We reached out to an Astro-coach to help you understand how your star sign might affect the role you play in your business.
Astro-coach Nymph of Neptune claims that “knowing your colleague’s planetary placements can help improve office dynamics, reduce misunderstandings and place employees in roles best suited to their talents.”
If she’s right, and you’re having difficulty understanding or collaborating with your co-worker, then maybe you should be taking your gaze to the starry cosmos instead of your HR representative.
You might be a practical Aquarius whilst your colleague is a fiery Scorpio. And while your stars might not ‘align’, it doesn’t mean you cant work harmoniously together.
(*Disclaimer* – you may have to do a quick Facebook stalk to figure out their Birthday).
Aries is the first sign and is known as the leader of the Zodiac. Headstrong, decisive and bold, Aries is arguably the most powerful leadership sign. However, their strong will may ruffle some feathers and they may not always be the most popular. Their thick skin and unapologetic demeanour mean that any bumps in the road will roll off their backs and they will keep moving towards the goal in question.
A Taurus is usually most concerned with comfort and ease. Not to be relied upon to spur a business onwards, they need to be convinced to get out of their comfort zone so they can be useful in knowing when things are getting risky or expanding too fast.
Excellent foodies and blessed with good taste, they do well in the world of fashion, textiles and hospitality. Good with finances as they may be slow to spend, they are good at accumulating funds. They are the eco-warriors of the Zodiac and are often concerned with sustainability.
The best at multitasking and the talkers of the office who may appear more playful than they are underneath, Geminis make the best salespeople as they have the gift of the gab and can always find a positive way to verbally analyse a product.
Although not great at paying attention to detail, Geminis are adaptable and quick to form opinions so they keep things dynamic. They will always be on the lookout for new opportunities and should be good at finding creative solutions.
When Cancers find themselves in a competitive business environment they are known as the mother hen of the team. Colleagues will turn to Cancers with their personal woes and professional musings as they know that they will listen without judgement.
Their maternal attitude will make business opponents feel comfortable and at ease, but they are not the pushiest of signs. Cancers would be most useful for their intuition and sense if an opponent or employee is trustworthy or not. They’re great to have in the office for equilibrium and are often talented in HR.
Dramatic, bold and creative, Leos are the lion kings of astrology, which means they desire an important leadership position. Whether their leadership will be admired by fellow colleagues beneath them remains to be seen as their egos can often get out of hand. When in balance they are joyful and can keep up morale and find creative solutions. The most evolved Leos know that in business they are meant to be useful rather than admired.
Known to be workaholics, steady and exacting in their approach, Virgos provide precise analysis and show the best attention to detail. However, this could also be their downfall, as Virgos often miss the bigger picture and would spend too long on insignificant details. An overly critical eye would ensure that nothing short of perfect passes by. However, this could also slow a business down as unnecessary time is spent fussing over the tiny details.
The diplomat of the office and the world, Libras are known for their kindness and balanced approach. However, their even hand can often mean that little gets pushed forward and their indecision could be their downfall. They make excellent lawyers and are always well-liked due to their objective stance. Libra is at home in the world of beauty, fashion and cosmetics, as well as diplomacy and law. They make good mediators between clients and will keep the peace, ensuring everyone gets their fair share.
Scorpios are known to be the most manipulative and seductive of the Zodiac but are also the most powerful. Their strategic mind can think several steps ahead and they are good at positioning opponents exactly where they want them. Able to lasso their objectives and slowly bring them in, Scorpios are excellent business people. However, the shadow side would be that they are excessively controlling and suspicious of those who are often on their side. In order to be liked more by colleagues, they should loosen their grip and trust in their colleagues more.
As long as Sagittarians have a long leash and are not being kept tabs on, they thrive and are dynamic members of any team. Fond of travel and adventure, any job that involves frequent movement would be best. Excellent at seeing the bigger picture and having faith, they are good for office morale. Their buoyant spirit is infectious and any potential clients will feel attracted to them as they make more elegant salespeople. Sagittarius would pursue deals with optimism and be good at convincing others that any required solution is around the corner.
The archetype of the mountain goat, Capricorns are known to be emotionally detached, overly determined and rational. Their main mission is to succeed. However, they are not as egotistical as Scorpios or Leos in terms of keeping only their own interests in mind. Capricorns know the value of steady hard work over long periods of time and don’t expect quick results, which ensures they encourage the rest of the team. Capricorns are risk-averse and always down to earth.
Aquarians are best suited to the world of technology. Known as the innovators and the rebels of the Zodiac, they prefer to think outside of the box and can be counted on to find unique solutions. They enjoy turning tradition on its head, so make great problem solvers and will find loopholes where others see a dead end. Their emotionally detached quality aids this free-spirited thinking.
Pisces is unlikely to find themselves in a traditional office environment and if they do, would be known for being aloof, mysterious and hard to read. They are highly emotional but often keep it under wraps. Colleagues who work with Pisces should know that there may be a lot of dissatisfaction and tension that run amok inside, regardless of how calm they seem on the exterior.
Pisces would internalise any tension within the office, she or he would take on the psychic baggage of the office environment. Pisceans should be the creative heart of any business and be allowed plenty of room to daydream as this is how they process ideas. They do not work well under pressure.
