Well, this most traditional of sectors is being moved on by young companies such as Kykloud, the first fully integrated mobile asset management SaaS (software as a service) product for the construction and surveying industries,
In English, that means it’s a mobile tool that enables surveyor to assess construction conditions, do inspections, as well as forecast budgets. Surveyors can collect data from buildings, which they can then apply in their planning.
Kykloud is already managing 40m sq m of buildings and property assets, across five continents, used by more than 1,000 surveyors, including five of the UK’s top ten surveyors.
Kykloud, founded by Ed Bartlett and Nick Graham, has grown significantly in two years since launch.
In April 2013, Kykloud signed a global exclusive deal with the RICS to provide approved mobile templates for surveyors. For the first time, mobile working practices are embedded within the surveying sector. Next, through partnerships with resellers in Australia, the US, Asia and Africa, the firm is looking for global roll-out.
